Been looking for a Grundig Satellit 6001 Wood and I saw it in your candy store. Wanted one since my first arrival in Germany in 1968, but as a 2nd Lt in the Army it was way beyond my means.

I opened the box during weekend. Thanks for the careful packaging. The radio arrived safe with no damage and the set is clear as advertised. The radio has excellent performance in all bands even without external antenna. Picked amateur stations in LSB with its own antenna while my Thiecom modified Tecsun 2000 with 30 meters longwire was deaf. Also local interference from my meighbors WIFI and PC have significant smaller effect in Sat3400 in SW reception even when the widest filter was in use. FM and MW reception is excellent too. I will revert to you soon for a more portable set for me summer vacations (maybe Sat 700).

Do to funds needs I sold my Sat.2400, 3400, and other 210.
I enjoy cassette tapes and now use a Telefunken combo.

Since your website is a ...de/ I assume one could correspond in German, which I would love to do. This note I am writing in English since your site's instructions are in English.
I am glad that I have found your site. I have tried for years just to get a picture of a Grundig Satellite or satellite type that I have seen at the German pavilion at Expo67 in Montreal. It was used by the German security staff of the pavilion to contact their home base in Berlin, they were Berliner Schutzpolizei. Seeing at least a picture of that set would prove to me my own sanity, since so many people let on that this unit did not exist.
It was made of a light-gray 'plastic' and had a clip-on SSB "Zusatzgerät" mit Stabantenne. The SSB was attached to the right side of the set. The pavilion police used it late in the evening to communicate with their station in Berlin.
I have seen a set like it again years later in Vancouver, BC, but the lady who owned it was not interested in parting with it.
Unfortunately, at the time I did not realise that one day this radio set could be important as a memory item of mine. Do you have any idea what the model number may have been, and would you have at least a picture, by any chance?
I would be grateful for a reply.

I was restoring a Satellit 1000 and had a doubt about contacts on the turret tuner. After a couple of e-mails, Rainer ended up opening his own Satellit 1000 to say a final word about the problem. Thanks again, Rainer!

I had a customer bring in 3 Grundig 6001 radios. Of course, all three band switch drive belts are bad. Thank you for having replacement belts available.
