Grundig Satellit 500
Built (1989-1991) This innovative radio started off by charming with it's well thought out design. But especially the technical advances were another Grundig stroke of genius. Thanks to newly evolved microprocessor technology, Grundig was able to provide these smaller radios with the larger predecessors' abilities in recption and sound quality. The 500 also provided a large LCD display for easy reading of the desired frequencies among other useful information. Also, the headphones now provided true FM stereo . Also of noteworthiness were the sleeptimer, SSB and USB. The Grundig Satellit 500 left few wishes ungranted. Retail price: DM 800.00
Grundig Satellit 500Er ist der Nachfolger des Grundig Satellit 400 und wurde zwischen 1989 - 1991 gebaut. Das Radio bestach erst einmal durch sein durchgestyltes Äußeres aber auch technisch war es wieder eine Meisterleistung der Grundig Ingeneure. Dank der Mikroprozessortechnik konnte große Technik in einem kleinem Gehäuse untergebraht werden. Auch bekam das Radio ein großes LCD Display, wo man alle wichtigen Infos ablesen konnte. UKW Stereoempfang über Kopfhörer, Sleeptimer, SSB, USB, der Grundig Satellit 500 ließ kaum Wünsche offen. Neupreis ca. DM 800,-

From my private collection. Grundig Satellit 500 International (built 1989 - 1991) Short Wave Radio in like new condition. Computer Controlled Tuning System, PLL-Synthesizer-Direct-Tuner. It is the professional version, and has been factory modified to cover the frequencies AM 148 kHz-353 kHz 513 kHz-30,000 kHz (International Version) Also available is the full Rom - Table. This Collector radio is the 3- lamp version. The battery compartment is pristine. The radio works beautifully with AC/DC- Adapter, batteries or battery pack, antenna straight, and it is a great performer.
